Similar to other social networks, Snapchat does not show neon signs when users’ friends decide to unfriend them; there are specific clues to find out if a user has unadded you in the Snapchat app.
Snapchat’s multi-facet option, which enables friends to be added, would also allow more private sharing of snaps and stories. However, there might be points when you have doubts that an opponent has removed you from the list of friends.
Snapchat doesn’t directly notify you when a contact has unadded you or blocked you, but there are several indications. These are clear signs; recognizing them is relevant if you want to know who has permission to see the shared content and who does not.
How to tell if someone unadded you on Snapchat
If you suspect that someone has unfriended you on Snapchat, here are a few ways to check:
- Check your previous conversation — When you go to a chat with one of your friends on the app, and you’ve been unfried, the chat will still be there, but the person’s Bitmoji will not be seen. You will also be unable to view their snapchat score.
- Send a snap to them—You should text them a snap or a message. If it stays as ‘pending’ and doesn’t convert to ‘delivered,’ then chances are they might have unfriended you or blocked you on Facebook.
- Check their friend list — Click on friends in the top right corner and search for them. If they don’t, then they unfriended/unfollowed/unmisted you, or possibly you blocked yourself.
- Add them again — If you attempt adding them again and you can then it means that they deleted you. But if they have blocked you then you cannot add them anymore in your contact list.
