Xiaomi has added 10 more phones and tablets to its End-of-Life list. These devices will no longer receive software updates.
Xiaomi devices no longer eligible for any software updates
- Xiaomi 12
- Xiaomi 12 Pro
- Xiaomi 12S Ultra
- POCO X5
- POCO X5 Pro 5G
- Redmi K60E
- Redmi 10 5G
- Xiaomi Pad 6
- Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro
- Xiaomi Pad 6 Max
The list includes the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and the China-only Xiaomi 12S Ultra.
From Redmi: Note 12T Pro, K60E, and 10 5G.
From POCO: X5 5G and X5 Pro 5G.
No more HyperOS. No security patches. No bug fixes.
The truth is, most of these phones stopped getting real updates months ago anyway.
The phones will continue to work. But if a security flaw shows up later, it probably will not be fixed.
Some of this is region-specific. Xiaomi 12 series changes only apply to units sold in China, Indonesia, and Russia.
In terms of age, these are mostly 3 to 4 year-old devices. The Xiaomi 12 was relaunched in March 2022. Xiaomi’s budget phones typically get about two years of support, while flagships get up to six.
