Twitter has introduced a new way for iOS users to sign in to the platform using Face ID or Touch ID instead of typing passwords. The steps to set this up take just seconds and are fairly simple.
What does this mean to you? rather than entering a password, you can now sign in to your X account using Face ID or Touch ID.
How to set up Face ID or Touch ID on Twitter / X
To start, open the Twitter / X app and log into your account. Go to Settings > Security and enable Passkeys. You will then be prompted to use Face ID or Touch ID to confirm your identity. Once set up, you can securely access your account just by scanning your face or fingerprint when prompted.
Your biometric data remains securely on your device and is not shared with Twitter / X or any other third-party apps. Elon Musk does not have access to this sensitive personal information.
Using Face ID or Touch ID login helps protect user accounts by reducing reliance on typed passwords that can be guessed or stolen. It provides an extra layer of security while maintaining ease of access for legitimate account holders.
As more users enable this feature, logging into Twitter / X on iOS devices will become even more secure. It’s a small change that makes a big difference in account safety.
