WhatsApp Enhances User Experience with Security Upgrade and 3D Stickers
WhatsApp is set to introduce several significant updates in the near future, as revealed in its latest beta versions. The forthcoming upgrades were discovered by the reliable team at WABetaInfo.
One of the most notable updates includes an additional security feature that allows users to protect their accounts using an email address. This added layer of security is designed to safeguard against unauthorized access and potential malware attacks.
Additionally, this feature will simplify the security code verification process. However, it’s important to note that this feature is optional, giving users the choice to provide their email address or not. This new security measure is distinct from the email address required during the two-step verification process when signing up for WhatsApp.
In addition to the security upgrade, WhatsApp is also enhancing its user experience with the introduction of animated avatar stickers. Inspired by Mark Zuckerberg’s Metaverse vision, these 3D animated stickers allow users to express themselves more creatively. Users can choose from a variety of expressions such as love, greetings, happy reactions, thumbs up, and many more. This feature is already available in the latest beta versions of WhatsApp for Android (2.23.15.6 and above).
Furthermore, WhatsApp is implementing several visual changes to align with Google’s Material You UI design, seen on Android 12 phones and above. These changes include an updated call notification within the app, aiming to give it a more modern look. Although this change is minor compared to the others, it is expected to roll out to the public version of WhatsApp quicker.
However, the exact timeline for the release of these features remains unclear as they are still under development. Users will have to wait for official updates from WhatsApp for further information.
