In addition to its success on the OTT platform, KGF Chapter 1 was eagerly anticipated by fans worldwide. A huge collection from international circuits is translating the craze into numbers. As a result, the film has broken all kinds of records.
According to trade Comscore, KGF Chapter 2 had a great second business weekend. It has so far amassed an enormous 880.45 crores ($114.93 million) in worldwide box office receipts. Just 20 crores more, and it will pass Dangal, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, and RRR to become India’s fourth-highest grossing film.
After Secret Superstar, Bajrangi Bhaijaan (915 crores), RRR (1108 crores), Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (1800 crores), and Dangal, KGF Chapter 2 is the sixth highest-grossing Indian film (worldwide) (1899.35 crores). KGF 2 is on track to reach the milestone of 1000 episodes within the next few months.
The film has raked in 623 crores* in India alone, and it’s on track to overtake RRR’s totals.
Starring Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, and Srinidhi Shetty as key characters, KGF 2 was released on April 14th.
