Most content on the social media site is Instagram Reels, as Instagram users keep creating and uploading new videos to post with their friends and followers.
Like TikTok, the feature is focused on short videos and has garnered millions of users.
Like with the topic of any video content, you could at some point, be tempted to pause an Instagram Reel. However, you have probably seen already that a single tap on the screen won’t pause the video as it would on other platforms.
How to pause Instagram Reels
To pause a Reel video, you will have to press your finger on the screen and then hold for a while. Once you hold your finger down, the screen pauses the Reel, and when you lift it, you start playing the video again.
Unlike TikTok or any other similar app that would pause when you tap on it once, Instagram Reel doesn’t pause with a standard single tap on the screen. But, when you tap a Reel, it simply mutes the audio.
