WhatsApp is working on a stylish new dark theme for its web client to align with the look of its Android app. WhatsApp aims to provide a more consistent user experience across its platforms with this updated web design.
The new dark mode features a slightly darker gray background color than before, changing from hex code #111b20 to #12181c. This subtle shift creates a palette that is easier on the eyes during nighttime or prolonged usage.
Complementing the new dark theme is an improved sidebar for WhatsApp Web that fits nicely with the modernized aesthetics.
Together, these changes reflect WhatsApp’s continuous efforts to enhance its interfaces through new features and visual tweaks. While still in development, the revamped web client dark mode should roll out to users in a future update. The update brings WhatsApp Web in closer alignment with the sleek and modern design language of WhatsApp for Android.
