Jos Buttler Credits Former Pakistani Cricketer for His Success in IPL

England’s powerful wicket-keeper hitter, Jos Buttler, is largely considered one of the top white-ball players in international cricket. Buttler is now in the form of his life as he has already smashed three centuries in 7 matches in the IPL.

According to Buttler, his remarkable run of form is attributable to his style and shot ability development. Buttler claimed that he had worked very hard on the key advice of former Pakistan cricketer Mushtaq Ahmed, who helped him enhance his game.

The 31-year-old claimed that Mushtaq Ahmed helped him discover his areas of weakness and converted them into strengths. Buttler claimed that Mushtaq’s counsel helped him cleanse his frame of mind and opened him a new perspective in his hitting that has been productive so far.

“Mushtaq Ahmed always instructed me to strike on the off-side initially and then come over to the leg-side. If you are looking exclusively on the leg-side, you would never strike the ball on as an off,” Buttler said.
