The Eagles, known for their timeless music and global appeal, have had a remarkable 52-year journey. Despite facing numerous challenges, including tragic losses and various setbacks, they have continued to perform for audiences worldwide. In a statement shared with CNN, the band expressed their gratitude for the longevity of their career, acknowledging that it has surpassed their wildest dreams. However, they also noted that every journey has its end, and the time has come for them to “close the circle.”
Joining The Eagles on this farewell tour are their longtime friends and fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, Steely Dan, who will be the opening act. The Eagles’ lineup for the tour includes members Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, along with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey. The band has committed to performing as many shows in each market as demanded by their audience.
The initial 13 stops of the tour were announced on Thursday, covering cities such as Boston, Atlanta, Cleveland, Denver, and others. The first leg of the tour will conclude in St. Paul, Minnesota at the Xcel Energy Center on Friday, November 17. Presale tickets and VIP packages for these Live Nation-produced concerts will be available from Wednesday, July 12, while general sales will begin at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, July 14.
While the band prepares to bid their fans a long goodbye, the tour is expected to continue into 2025, ensuring that The Eagles’ music will continue to resonate with audiences for a few more years. This final tour serves as a fitting tribute to a band that has left an indelible mark on the world of music.
