Snapchat for browser is available internationally after a long wait. At first, only users in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand could access the web through a desktop computer.
Snapchat for the web lets users make video and voice calls, send messages, and view snaps of their friends. Mobile app messaging features, such as chat reactions, are also available in the desktop version. More than 10 video call lenses are included.
Snapchat Web app is now available everywhere
Snapchat requires users to visit web.snapchat.com and log in using their Snapchat username and password. Users must enable two-factor authentication on their mobile devices after logging in. A chat started on a mobile device can be picked up where it left off on the web version of Snapchat.
The desktop version of Snapchat adds a laptop Bitmoji to chats to let people know you’re using the app on a computer. Also, if the user clicks anything else, the Snapchat window will be hidden to protect their privacy.
Also, just like the mobile app, Snapchat web communications will be destroyed after 24 hours. Snap inc. categorically stated that Snapchat desktop users will not be able to capture Snaps in any form.
Snapchat is releasing new chat shortcuts at the top of chats, similar to those found at the top of the desktop version of the app, to make it easier to find unread snaps and friends’ chats.
Additionally, Snapchat is launching a new feature called “Question Stickers” that will allow users to ask questions in an AMA-style format directly in their stories.
