iPhone 15 – Rumoured Launch Date, Features And Pricing

The much-anticipated iPhone 15 is reportedly set to be unveiled in an Apple event scheduled for September 12 or 13, according to Bloomberg writer Mark Gurman’s Power On newsletter. This date is earlier than the previously speculated release date of September 22. However, Gurman has also indicated that these dates are not set in stone and may change.
The iPhone 15 announcement event is expected to take place on September 13, as per sources quoted in a 9to5Mac article. Regardless of whether the unveiling happens on September 12 or 13, preorders for the new device could start as early as September 15, with actual sales commencing on September 22.
The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are rumoured to be available in a dark red shade, a claim supported by multiple sources. Other colour possibilities for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus include light blue, pink, and a cyan or green shade, referred to by some as “mint green”. There are also suggestions of pink and yellow alternatives.
As for features, it seems that Apple might finally make the switch to USB-C charging, abandoning the Lightning connector. The Dynamic Island feature is also likely to be available on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, along with general improvements to battery life and camera quality. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to come with a powerful new 3nm A17 Bionic processor and a titanium frame. The iPhone 15 Pro Max might also include an exclusive new periscope lens that enhances zoom capabilities.
The iPhone 15 series is expected to have a significant gap in upgrades, with the premium phones receiving the most substantial enhancements. A recent rumour suggests that 35W charging for the iPhone 15 is possible, providing a much-needed speed improvement. Additionally, at least some variants of the iPhone 15’s USB-C connector may support Thunderbolt connection.
The pricing and detailed specs for the iPhone 15 series have also been revealed. The base model, iPhone 15, is priced at $799, while the iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max are priced at $899, $1,099, and $1,199 respectively. The display sizes range from 6.1 inches to 6.7 inches, with refresh rates varying between 60Hz and 1-120Hz.
