Dubai Launches Golden Visa Scheme for Imams, Muezzins, and Islamic Scholars

In a significant development, Dubai has declared that preachers, imams, and Islamic scholars who meet certain criteria would be granted a Golden Visa, a long-term resident visa.

Golden Visa is available to a wide range of people, including real estate tycoons, businessmen, investors, entrepreneurs, doctors, scientists, artists, and many more.

The categories have now been expanded to include preachers, muezzins, Islamic jurists, imams, and religious experts. Crown Prince of Dubai, Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, announced the decision.

It should be mentioned that eligible individuals must have served in their posts in the UAE for a minimum of 20 years (UAE).

The Golden Visa is a popular visa option in the UAE that tries to recruit and retain international professionals. Anyone can live, work, and study in the UAE for five or 10 years without the requirement for a sponsor under this scheme.

It also allows you to work outside the UAE for lengthy periods of time without affecting your visa status and allows you to sponsor family members.
