The United Kingdom has published a new update for international students, especially those arriving in September 2024. These changes include a graduate visa through which international students can work and live in the country after graduating for up to 2 years.
It is becoming clear that the current Labour government in Britain is willing to support students from other countries contrary to the issue of visa restrictions. However, there is still awareness about job opportunities and the increase in graduate visa fees, where some students are more concerned about job prospects and some of the costs incurred under the graduate visa, such as health surcharge and future difficulties in sponsorship.
Based on the new measures supporting international students, the government has a positive environment for students who began this year.
The UK Education Secretary further emphasized the UK’s assurance to assist overseas students. International Students, she said, are incredibly brave to travel to a new country, away from their families and comfort, and seek knowledge and opportunities.
The Secretary further said that the incumbent government is privileged and that many prefer UK universities for their higher studies. The Starmer-led Government will leave no stone unturned to facilitate it.
Global students benefit the UK because they introduce new ideas and cultural perspectives. This is a wonderful chance for those who are in the process of making a decision to continue their education in the UK for the next academic year or at least for this year.
In the current year, UK institutions recorded higher numbers of applications than those recorded last year; applications recorded from the Gulf alone stood at 3,690; students from Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh, among other parts of the world, have also preferred colleges and universities in the UK.
