While Google has a history of hiding Easter eggs, its latest is aptly themed around the Netflix South Korean show Squid Game. Now that season 2 of the show is in full swing, Google has added a surprise game that will make fans of the show eat right up.
How to Access the Google Squid Game
Playing Google’s Squid Game is easy:
- Open the Google app or go to Google.com.
- Type “Squid Game” in the search bar.
- After a few seconds, the brown card with its circle, triangle, and square will show at the bottom.
- Click on the card to start the game.

What’s the Game About?
Red Light, Green Light, the one that is the first challenge of the TV series, is the game. But through this lens, now it’s free, family-friendly, and free of the show’s infamous brutality.
Here’s how it works
- Six virtual players appear, resembling your lives, and a doll shows up, looking like Young-hee.
- It repeats “Mugunghwa-kkoci pieot-seumnida,” meaning you must move the players.
- To move, press the blue ‘O’ button; to pause, press the red ‘X.’
- Do not stop moving. The song does not end, or the player will disappear.

Your goal is to get all six players across the finish line.
Tips to Win Google’s Secret Squid Game
You win if any player reaches the finish line, but the real challenge is to get all six out alive. Follow these tips for success:
- Don’t move your players once the doll starts to turn. If you can act early, you will minimize the loss of people.
- Keep your finger on the red “X” button pressed, and then let it go once the song is playing again.
- The doll stops its song but then turns its head a bit later. Stop safely using this time.
- The game is quick. Watch the screen. Do not let yourself get distracted.
What Makes This Game Special?
For Squid Game fans, this is a fun, nostalgic version from Google that feels right at home. This is not the high-stakes drama of the series; it is an arcade game that is light-hearted and fun. This delightful animation is worth the effort to win with all six players.
If you do not want to spend time searching and want to give it a go, swipe on Google to see how well you can do. Good luck, and I hope all your players will finish the line.
