WhatsApp Users Will be Able to Link Their iPad To Their Android Accounts

According to WaBetaInfo, WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is working on an update that would allow users to link their iPads as companion devices.

The upcoming update, titled ‘iPad support for connected devices,’ is still in the works and not yet ready for beta testing. WhatsApp will include a feature in a forthcoming version that would allow users to link their iPads to their Android WhatsApp accounts.

Previously, the messaging applications allowed users to connect new iOS devices to their current WhatsApp accounts. Users might connect up to four devices while keeping privacy and security.

WhatsApp’s most recent version focuses on ensuring connectivity with iPads as newly attached devices. According to a screenshot shared by WaBetaInfo, iPads may can be successfully linked to WhatsApp accounts on Android.


The arrival of companion mode for iOS, which is now being handed out to select accounts, signals that WhatsApp’s next logical move is to create an iPad-compatible app.
