Here’s complete schedule of Pakistan’s tour of England 2024
In the build-up to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and the United States of America (USA), finalists from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 will face off in May 2024 in the United Kingdom.
England will host Pakistan in a four-T20I series from May 22-30 before both teams go for the championship. The matches will take place in Leeds on May 22nd, Birmingham on May 25th, Cardiff on May 28th, and The Oval in London on May 30th.
In the T20 World Cup 2022 final in Melbourne, England defeated Pakistan by five wickets with one over to spare. Prior to the Australia tournament, Pakistan hosted England for a seven-match T20 International series in Karachi and Lahore, which the visitors won 4-3. On the ICC T20I Team Rankings, England is rated second, while Pakistan is ranked fourth, five points behind.
Pakistan will play a three-T20I series against the Netherlands and a two-T20I series against Ireland before landing in the UK; further details will be published in due course.
In addition to the men’s team, the Pakistan women’s team will visit England in May 2024 for three T20 Internationals and three ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25 fixtures.
The tour will begin with the first T20I on 11 May in Birmingham, followed by the following two matches in Northampton (17 May) and Leeds (19 May). The three ODI will be played on May 23, 26, and 29 at Derby, Taunton, and Chelmsford, respectively.
In the ICC Women’s T20I Team Rankings, England is ranked second and Pakistan is ranked seventh, but Pakistan (10 points) is now third in the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25, and England (six points) is seventh with one less series of three ODIs. England’s third Championship series will be against Australia from July 12 to July 18.
Pakistan’s last series in the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25 will be against England. They will begin their 2023-24 season by hosting South Africa from 1-14 September in Karachi, followed by a series against Bangladesh (October/November, away), New Zealand (November/December, away), and the West Indies (April/May, home).
Pakistan has defeated Sri Lanka (2-1) and Ireland (3-0) in the three ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25 series so far, although they were defeated 3-0 earlier this year by world champions Australia.
