Tikka Boti Masala Recipe

Tikka Boti Masala – Tikka Boti Masala is made in two steps. Tikka Boti Masala is made separately, while tomato sauce is made in a separate pan. For nearly an hour, boneless chicken pieces are marinated with red chili powder, cumin seeds, hot spices, mace powder, fried onions, kachri powder, crushed coriander, and yogurt. Tikka Boti Masala is prepared over medium heat and then simmered with coal steaming till tender. Tomato sauce is made with tomatoes, red chili powder, salt, mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chilies, and coriander. To serve tikka boti masala, layer simmering rice, tomato sauce, and cooked tikka boti. This dish is suitable for Eid ul Adha or your rooftop BBQ parties.

  1. ½ kg boneless chicken
  2. 1 cup fried onions
  3. 250 grams yogurt
  4. 1 tsp coriander powder
  5. 1 tsp hot spices powder
  6. 1 tbsp kachri powder
  7. 2 tsp crushed red chilies
  8. 2 tsp sautéed cumin seeds
  9. ½ tsp turmeric powder
  10. ½ tsp salt
  11. ¼ tsp mace powder
  12. 4 tbsp oil
  13. 1 piece of coal
  14. To prepare tomato Sauce
  15. ½ kg blended tomatoes
  16. 4 crushed green chilies
  17. 6 curry leaves
  18. ½ bunch coriander
  19. 1 tsp red chili powder
  20. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  21. ½ tsp salt
  22. 4 tsp oil
  23. Spiced rice as required


  • Coat ½ kg boneless chicken with 2 tsp red chili powder, 2 tsp slightly cooked cumin seeds, ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp crushed coriander, 1 tsp hot spices powder, ½ tsp salt, ¼ tsp mace powder, 1 cup fried onions, 250 grams yogurt, 1tbsp kachri powder and 4 tbsp oil and leave it for half an hour. Place it in a pan and cook it on medium flames with close lid. When chicken has tenderized, stir it well and allow coal simmering. Tikka Boti Masala is ready.
  • To prepare tomato sauce, in a pan add ½ kg tomatoes, 1 tsp red chili powder, ½ tsp salt, 6 curry leaves, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 4 crushed green chilies, ½ bunch coriander and 4 tbsp oil and cook it on high flames. Tomato sauce is ready. In a platter, lay out a layer of simmered rice, tomato sauce on it and tikka boti over it and serve.
