Switch Instagram account to Creator
The Reel Scheduler is only available to users who have a creator account on Instagram. If you don’t have it, you can switch your personal profile to a creator account at any time. Here is what you need to do:
- Open the Instagram app and access your profile Tongue. Simply click on your profile picture icon in the lower right corner.
- Press now Edit profile under your biography, then click Switch to professional account option. Go to Menu >> Settings >> Account and search the same option.
- Click on Continue button to skip the intro slides. After that, you will be asked to choose a Category for your account. Choose a category that best describes you and press the Done button.
- You must now choose between the Creator account and the Business account. Select Creator and click Next Continue. Complete the rest of the steps to set up your new work account.
Create and Edit Instagram Reel
The second step is to create and edit your Instagram reel. Just open the Instagram app and tap the + (plus) button in the upper right corner. After that choose the Reels option. Another way to reach the same place is to go to the Reels section of your homepage, then click on the Camera icon in the upper right corner.
This will open the Instagram camera. You can now shoot a new video for your reel or select an existing video from your camera roll. Press the Next button to continue. After that complete the editing process. Add music, apply filters, write a text, etc. Once the editing part is done, press the Next button again.
Schedule Instagram reel
In the next screen, you can add a caption to your Instagram reel and choose a cover photo. To schedule your reel, click on the Advanced Settings option at the end.
Here you will find a new section titled Schedule Content. Enable the toggle button that says Program this coil.
After that, set the date and time when you want to publish your reel. Time zone is based on your mobile settings. Click on Set time button to save changes.
Upload Instagram Reel
Click the back icon in the upper left corner to return to the previous screen. Then press the Schedule button. That’s it! You have successfully programmed your Instagram Reel. It will be published automatically at the time you specified. Note that if you’ve enabled cross-platform sharing, it won’t work with scheduling.
