Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has decreased the fare for Islamabad-Beijing flights with immediate effect to make travel between Pakistan and China easier for passengers. Currently, PIA operates a weekly passenger flight on Sundays for this route.
The national carrier has announced a 30% fare reduction for the Islamabad-Beijing route. This reform will help those traveling to China for school, business, jobs, or family visits. According to sources, the cheaper cost will help both Pakistani and Chinese people significantly.
It’s worth noting that Pakistan and China will co-host ‘The Year of Tourism’ in 2023 to promote cultural and people-to-people exchanges. Earlier this year, PIA increased the discount rate on fares for students traveling to China by 27%. Furthermore, on Eid-ul-Fitr, the national flag carrier reduced domestic flight prices for economy and executive economy classes by 20%.
Furthermore, according to Parliamentary Secretary for Railways Kiran Imran Dar, PIA earned more than Rs. 60 million in profit in the first quarter of 2023 (January-March). This demonstrates PIA’s commitment to improve its services and providing consumers with affordable travel alternatives.
