AI chatbots are becoming more common, and it looks like Instagram is following suit. According to Alessandro Paluzzi, a reverse engineer, the site is working on an AI chatbot similar to other social media competitors.
According to ZDNet, based on shared screenshots, this chatbot is supposed to deliver answers and advice. In addition, users may be able to choose from a pool of around 30 distinct personalities.
This chatbot might be very useful for people who have difficulty writing texts. Furthermore, it appears that users will be able to include the chatbot in ongoing chats by @-mentioning it.
The particular AI techniques that Instagram will use to enable its chatbots are unknown.
While Meta has not made any official announcements about the inclusion of chatbots on its platforms, such a feature would be consistent with the companyâs past remarks about its AI aspirations.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg addressed Metaâs continued development of AI personalities aimed to aid people in many capacities in February. He also stated that the business is looking for methods to make these bots available through text conversations, comparable to the chat capability offered in WhatsApp and Messenger.
This indicates that we may expect to see similar chatbots on WhatsApp and Messenger in the future, however, there is currently no word on this.
Instagram has yet to reply to a comment request, but it is evident that an AI chatbot is in the works and will most likely be released soon.
