Tumblr’s blogging platform uses Ask Boxes instead of a chat system. If you activate the option, a Tumblr user may visit your Ask page, put a message in the box, and send it to you. You will need a sidebar link to bring readers to your Ask page, which you can manually include in your blog template.
Create a Link to Ask Box on Tumblr Blog
- Log in to your Tumblr Dashboard and then select your blog from the top menu.
- Then, select “Customize Appearance.”
- In the description box, click at the end of the text. Then, press “Enter” to insert a blank line and begin a new paragraph.
- Type the following code:
<a href=”/ask”>Ask Me Something</a> - Click on “Save.”
