Apni Chat Apna Ghar scheme to be launched on August 14

The ‘Apni Chat Apna Ghar’ scheme has been in the pipeline for a long, and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is all set to unveil it anytime soon, probably on the 14th of August. This historic scheme will aim to address issues of the houses to the people of Punjab, emphasizing those who cannot afford decent shelter.

First, prototype homes will be constructed to facilitate the scheme’s conceptualization. These homes will have living rooms, as dictated by the chief minister. To ease the process, a toll-free number will be provided to the public so they can ask any question they want.

For the ‘Apni Chat Apna Ghar’ scheme, the PITB shall build a particular website for the convenience of the people so they do not need to visit the offices to apply for the house schemes. Other specifics of the scheme can also be availed from the Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner offices.

Apni Chat Apna Ghar scheme

In this scheme of the PML (N) government, people who own plots of 1 to 5 marlas can get interest-free loans for building houses. To this end, the government will ensure an automatic, easy installment plan for repaying the loan.

In the case of FATA beneficiaries, rules have been different, where 3 and 5 marla houses are to be provided in private schemes. Such beneficiaries will have five years within which they will be expected to pay their home installments. However, in private schemes, financial subsidies will be given by the Punjab government to make homes more inexpensive.

70,000 plot owners in Punjab will benefit from this scheme. Those with plots ranging from 1 to 5 marlas will be allowed an interest-free loan facility. Punjab’s Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, ratified these critical decisions in a meeting presided over.

The Punjab ‘Apni Chat Apna Ghar’ is a step forward in enabling the Punjabis to have a house of their own at a reasonable cost.
