- WhatsApp is developing a Drafts filter to help users find chats with unsent messages.
- The feature has appeared in iOS beta 25.19.10.79 and earlier on Android beta 2.25.18.17.
- It will show a separate list of all draft messages directly in the Chats tab.
- Users can enable or disable the filter from chat list settings.
- The feature is still in development and has not rolled out to beta testers yet.
WhatsApp is adding a new feature that would allow managing conversations much more efficiently, in terms of users who often leave messages half-written. A dedicated “Drafts” filter is now in the works, with iOS beta version 25.19.10.79.
First reported by WABetaInfo, the feature is already in a previous Android beta (v2.25.18.17) and therefore, Meta is likely to provide this update on both platforms. With this update, a new Drafts tab is available in the main Chats screen.
Users will view all conversations that contain a message that was typed but not sent-they will get to view it immediately, without searching for them manually.
Currently, WhatsApp already highlights such chats in a green Draft label. But with the new filter, users can tap once to view all pending messages at once.
According to the beta info, users will likely have the ability to turn the Drafts filter off or on on the chat list settings. You can customize your WhatsApp into an interface that fits your work preferences.
While the feature is currently under development and has not been rolled out to beta testers, it shows a clear sign that WhatsApp is focusing on improving the quality of life.
Drafts filter may be a small feature, but to those who want to manage large volumes of chats, especially to those who use business accounts, it can save much time and even avoid lost messages.
