Set Up and Use ChatGPT on Apple Watch
To connect ChatGPT with our Apple watch, we will use a newly released program called watchGPT. However, note that it is a paid application. If you decide to purchase it, follow the instructions below to quickly set it up and start using it.
- To begin, go to the App Store and purchase the watchGPT app ($4.99). Once completed, the app will be installed directly on the watch. It’s time to move over to the watch.
- Press the crown to access the Apple Watch’s app list. Scroll down until you find watchGPT, then press to open it.
- You will now be welcomed by the mascot of watchGPT. Simply press the “Ask Me Anything” box and enter your question. When you hit the “Done” button, the application begins to think about it.
- After a few seconds, watchGPT presents the answer, which you can scroll through to read. You can start using ChatGPT on your Apple Watch!
- Scroll down and hit the “Share” option if you want to share the solution. You can then send the ChatGPT-generated response over iMessage or Mail. It will be useful in situations where you cannot use your phone or laptop but need to write an urgent email or respond to an important question.
Our initial testing of the application revealed that it performs well. The program, like ChatGPT, can compose essays, tell jokes and recipes, solve equations involving mathematics, and many other things. There was limited to no downtime and the answers were insightful.
However, it appears that there is a hidden word restriction that causes the app to display an error message when asked for extensive responses. While you cannot currently have extended discussions, the developer intends to add support for this, as well as the option to add your API keys and other features, in the future.
Add watchGPT as a Complication
It might get annoying to constantly navigate to the application drawer for the watchGPT application. Luckily, you can quickly add the ChatGPT app as an Apple Watch feature for quick access. To do so, follow the instructions below.
- Press and hold the watch face on the home screen to enter editing mode. To begin, hit the “Edit” button once there.
- Swipe to the left until you reach the complications tab. Once there, touch on the particular problem you want to change. We’re swapping out the bottom right complication.
- A list of available complications will now appear. Tap watchGPT when you reach the bottom of the page.
- When you are finished, simply touch anywhere or push the crown to return to the watch face, and you’re done.
That’s all there is to it. ChatGPT is now available on the home screen of your Apple Watch. Simply press it whenever you want to have a quick chat.
