PML-N’s Hina Parvez Butt Harassed by PTI Supporters in London

Hina Butt was harassed on the streets of London. The incident occurred while she was walking with her son.

Hine Butt alleged that supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were responsible for the harassment. She claimed they not only shouted slogans at her but also threw bottles. A video clip shared by Butt online, albeit without audio, shows the harassment and heckling incident. In the video, Butt can be seen walking on London streets with her son when they were accosted by the alleged PTI supporters.

Further clips circulating online show the political leader being greeted with boos and hisses. In one of the clips, a woman can be heard shouting ‘Ruk Bakri, Ruk Bakri’, while Butt’s son can be seen advising his mother not to respond.

Butt criticized the PTI supporters for their uncivilized behavior, stating that they had stooped to a new low by assaulting her in front of her son. Despite the incident, she reiterated her commitment to the principles of tolerance taught by her leader, Nawaz Sharif.

This incident follows a series of similar harassment faced by Pakistani political figures in the UK. Notably, Humayun Dilawar, a district and sessions court judge who jailed PTI chief Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case, faced harassment during his stay in the UK. Additionally, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Pakistan’s former information minister, was also harassed and heckled by PTI activists in a London coffee shop.
