No New Currency Notes on Eid-ul-Fitr Again

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) declared on Thursday that it will not issue fresh notes for Eid-ul-Fitr via SMS or banks.

It should be noted that due to the COVID-19 epidemic, which had a large impact on the country in 2020, the policy governing the issuing of new notes was amended.

During the outbreak, the SBP stopped issuing new notes, which had previously been handed to residents by SMS or at their various branches.

On the other side, the federal government has agreed to advance pay April’s salary, allowances, and pensions to all working and retired government employees in honor of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The decision was made during a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, who directed the Secretary of Finance to take action as soon as possible.

The Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee has also called its monthly meeting to observe the Shawaal crescent. The meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, April 20th. On the same day, zonal committees will meet in specified zones.

The central meeting will occur at Islamabad’s Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony building. The session will be presided over by Chairman Molana Abdul Khabeer Azad.

Finally, the federal government will soon issue an announcement on the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. According to reports, the Cabinet Division has delivered a summary to the Prime Minister’s Office.

According to reports, there will be five Eid-ul-Fitr vacations. According to rumors, the holidays will begin on April 20 and end on April 24.
