Karachi Police Announced Traffic Diversion Plan for Youm-e-Ali

On April 12, DIG Ahmed Nawaz Cheema announced a traffic diversion plan for Youm-e-Ali.

A mourning procession will depart Nishtar Park at 1 p.m. on 21 Ramadan and arrive at Hussainia Iranian Imambargah, Kharadar, at 8 p.m. to commemorate Hazrat Ali (RA).

The parade will proceed on Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto Road, Father James Road, MA Jinnah Road, Mansfield Street, Regal Chowk, Preedy Street, MA Jinnah Road, Boulton Market, Bhatti Bazar, Kharadar, Nawab Mohabbat Khanji Road, and to Hussainia Persian Imambargah.

As the procession exits Nishtar Park, all city traffic will be diverted to Nishtar Road from Soldier Bazar (Bahadur Yar Jung Road), Coast Guards, and Anklesaria Chowk. Drivers traveling from Nazimabad to MA Jinnah Road would be detoured from Lasbela Chowk via Nishtar Road, then Garden, in order to reach their destination.

Traffic from Liaquatabad to MA Jinnah Road will be redirected from Teen Hati Chowk to Prison Road and Martin Road. These vehicles may go from Prison Chowrangi Flyover to Shahrah-e-Faisal via Jail Road, Jamshed Road, Dadabhai Noorji Road, Kashmir Road, and Shahrah-e-Quaideen.

From New MA Jinnah Road, all Stadium Road-to-MA Jinnah Road traffic will be permitted. These vehicles are capable of traveling from Shahrah-e-Quaideen to Shahrah-e-Faisal via Dadabhai Noorji Road, Kashmir Road, and the Society Light Signal.

Gulberg-to-MA Motorists on Jinnah Road will be detoured from Liaquatabad No. 10 to Nazimabad Chowrangi No. 2 before continuing on to Mauripur through the Habib Bank Flyover, State Avenue Road, Shershah.

The procession path will be closed to traffic from Gurumandir Chowk. Except for cars having a procession badge on their windscreens, all traffic will be directed to Bahadur Yar Jung Road. From Shahrah-e-Quaideen to Naumaish Chowrangi, traffic should pass through Society Office Chowrangi.
