Islamabad Cattle Markets 2024: Locations and Details

ISLAMABAD: The city administration has finalized arrangements to set up five cattle markets in the capital’s peripheries for the ensuing Eidul Adha celebrations in 2024.

The Islamabad deputy commissioner’s office spokesperson said the authority was already gearing up for the new cattle market season.

The DC Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon chaired an important meeting with all ACs, Directors, DMA officials, Livestock Department, and Traffic Police officials.

Cattle markets — where the residents would be able to purchase sacrificial animals for Eidul Adha, will start operating at the specified places on June 6 as per the government’s formally announced decision.

The cattle markets will be established on five designated sites including Sultana Foundation, Zia Mosque, Barakahu, I-14, and Margalla Avenue.

He was followed by DC Memon, who instructed the concerned officers to maintain cleanliness and all related hygiene protocols here as well. He added that some concessions will be used to incentivize traders and buyers for a better overall experience.

The deputy commissioner warned that serious actions would be undertaken to stop the purchase and sale of livestock at places other than the allotted points.
