Apple has not officially confirmed a release date for the iPhone 18 Pro Max. But recent reports from trusted sources point to a September launch.
Most reports say Apple’s event will take place on September 9, a Wednesday. Apple usually avoids holding events right after Labor Day in the US, and this year is expected to follow the same pattern.
Apple normally sends event invites two weeks before the actual event. Based on that, the invite is expected around August 26.
If this schedule holds, pre-orders will likely start on September 11. The phone would then go on sale a week later, on September 18.
This year’s launch is different from previous years. Apple is not releasing all iPhone models at once. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will launch in September with Apple’s first foldable phone.
The regular iPhone 18 and a cheaper iPhone 18e model will launch later, in spring 2027.
Reports say Apple wants the foldable phone to get more attention without other new phones launching in the same week.
Pricing has not been confirmed either. Some analysts expect the Pro Max to cost between $1,199 and $1,299. That would be $200 to $300 more than last year’s iPhone 17 Pro Max.
One detail mentioned in leaks is a smaller Dynamic Island.
None of these details are final yet. Apple has not confirmed the date, price, or features. All current information comes from analysts and industry reports.
