Quick Add is a feature in the Snapchat application that connects users with friends. However, you can turn off the feature to prevent people from quickly finding and adding you.
Quick Add is just one of the methods of adding people as friends on Snapchat, and it is really easy. This feature provides other accounts you might know or would be interested in learning about, and all you need to do is click ‘Add’ beside their name without searching for them.
However, opting out is possible if someone does not want to be found in anyone’s Quick Add tab.
How to disable Quick Add on Snapchat
Removing yourself from Quick Add on Snapchat is simple; follow these steps:
- Open the Snapchat app.
- Click on your profile.
- Click on the Setting icon.
- Scroll down to the “Privacy Controls” option.
- Click on the “See me in Quick Add” option.
- Switch the slider to turn it off.
If you want to show yourself again in Quick Add, you can activate it by following the above processes and toggle the slider to the on state.
You can deselect the option of being displayed in Quick Adds for other users; you can still make Quick Adds for different users. To find people to add, open Snapchat, then tap on the plus (+) icon at the top right corner of the screen.
