Honda Atlas Cars Limited (HACL) may establish a record for producing the fewest cars, selling most of them and incurring the most losses in a single year.
In a worrying development, Honda Atlas has extended its manufacturing shutdown until May 15. The company claimed supply chain disruption, inventory shortages owing to LC limits, and the present economic crisis as reasons for pricing increases.
Initially, the companyās production halt was scheduled to last from March 9th until March 31st. It didĀ prolong the shutdown from April 1 to April 15. The second warning specified that the shutdownĀ will last from April 16 through April 30.
The most recent notification announced an extension of the production closure from May 1 to May 15. This means that Hondaās facility will be closed for a total of two months by the end of the latest production interruption.
This will almost certainly hurt Hondaās sales and income. The business had previously experienced a significant drop in sales in March, owing mostly to low Civic and HR-V sales.
