Despite increasing inflation and fuel prices, electric motorcycles are gaining popularity in Pakistan. New businesses are also attempting to diversify and capitalize on the rising demand.
ZYP Technologies, a startup, recently became popular on social media. The business is working on a new electric bike, according to its official website. This bike, dubbed Magvus, is Pakistan’s first EV with a swappable battery.
According to the photos, Magvus is based on the Road Prince Wego, a famous Chinese 150cc motorcycle. The bike includes the following attributes, according to the company:
- IP67 Waterproof motor
- Lithium Battery designed to serve 5+ years
- 120km economy mode range
- 100km/h top speed
- 0-60km/h in 6 seconds
The company focuses on developing battery exchange stations. These stations, according to Horsepower Pakistan, will be able to change a battery in less than two minutes. This concept, which serves as a ‘fuel station’ for bikes, has long been used in India and other nations.
Magvus’ release date and pricing are still unknown. But with the bike almost ready for manufacturing, it will most certainly be released soon.
