GuGo Motors Launches GiGi EV in Pakistan

GuGo Motors has introduced its electric vehicle (EV) GiGi EV in Pakistan. The announcement was made at the recently concluded Pakistan Auto Show 2023 (PAPS), where electric vehicles were a major attraction.

The GiGi EV is an innovative addition to the burgeoning EV market in Pakistan. According to Waleed Ahmed, the director of GuGo Motors, the GiGi EV is equipped with a 16.8 kWh battery that allows it to cover up to 220 kilometers on a single charge. This impressive range, combined with a charging time of approximately 3 to 4 hours, makes the GiGi EV a practical and eco-friendly transportation option.

The GiGi EV is priced at Rs. 46.60 lac and will be available for delivery within a month of booking. While the vehicle is not currently manufactured in Pakistan, GuGo Motors is contemplating setting up a manufacturing plant in the country. The company is also considering expanding its product line to include an SUV and a sedan in the future.

The GiGi EV comes with a host of convenience and safety features. These include a driver’s side airbag, power cut protection during collision, seat belt warning, ABS + EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), emergency brake assist (EBA), auto-hold brake, event data recorder (EDR), reverse camera, tire pressure monitoring, parking radar, and an anti-theft mechanism with remote control.

Additional features aimed at enhancing the driving experience include a driver and passenger sun visor, multifunctional steering wheel, climate control, electronic shift mode (Economy and Sport), and an 8.8-inch infotainment system.

The introduction of the GiGi EV in Pakistan marks a significant step forward in the country’s transition to sustainable transportation. As more automakers like GuGo Motors continue to innovate and introduce electric vehicles, the future of the automotive industry in Pakistan looks promisingly green.
