The federal government has suggested a 0% tax on parts of solar inverters, according to the Finance Bill 2023-24.
According to the document, this tax applies just to solar inverter assemblers/manufacturers who are registered under the Sales Tax Act of 1990.
Furthermore, a 0% tax has been proposed on several other items such as the control board, power board, charge controller board A/C, charge controller PV, DC board, LCD, display board, AC input and an output terminal, battery input terminals, PV terminals, casings (plastic/steel), a circuit board for inverters, and stuffed PCBs for inverters.
