Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz launched the ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’ housing scheme to offer affordable houses and installment plans.
The inaugural ceremony was held in the provincial capital, Lahore, where the Chief Minister spoke about the importance of having one’s own house. The CM said those with their own homes do not know the pain of not having a home.
Apni Chhat Apna Ghar Scheme 2024
Punjab‘s government is financially providing up to Rs 15 lac of interest-free loans, which will be provided in easy installments over seven years.
Such housing loans will be available for the construction of houses on land up to five marlas in urban areas and up to ten marlas in rural areas, Chief Minister Marym added.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced that the housing scheme’s installments would be Rs14,000, covering monthly expenses like education, utilities, food, and medicine.

Interested applicants are encouraged to apply for housing loans through the PITB portal or the toll-free number 080009100.
The ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’ initiative plans to build over 3,000 residences in each district, starting with five major cities: Faisalabad, Multan, Sialkot, Sargodha, and Rawalpindi. In Lahore, the first phase of shelter construction will involve building 5,000 houses around Raiwind Road.
