AIOU Announces 2024 Convocation Schedule for Various Degree Programs

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced its convocation schedule for 2024 across various cities in Pakistan. As per the announcement, the convocation ceremonies will be held in Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, Peshawar, and Muzaffarabad from January to June 2024.

The AIOU convocation in Islamabad will be held on January 31, 2024, at the Jinnah Convention Center.

President Dr. Arif Alvi will attend as chief guest along with Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nasir Mehmood. Graduates from Islamabad and surrounding areas will receive their degrees at this ceremony.

Provincial convocations are planned for March and May 2024. Karachi’s ceremony is set for March 3rd, Lahore on March 28th, Quetta on May 19th, Peshawar on June 9th and Muzaffarabad on June 30th. These events will award degrees to AIOU graduates belonging to the respective provinces.

Graduates of BA, B.Sc, BBA, B.Com, B.Ed, M.Ed, MA/M.Sc, MPhil, and PhD programs may check their eligibility for the convocation on the website http://convocation.aiou.edu.pk. Eligible students can register on the same website until December 20th.

As part of AIOU’s 50th anniversary celebrations, the VC has decided to organize provincial convocations to involve more students.

Preparations are already underway in the five locations. Students can get further details and register themselves on the university’s website.
