Adobe Firefly gets major AI video generator upgrade with new tools and partner models

Adobe is again enhancing its AI-powered creative suite. The company revealed that it introduced a major update to Adobe Firefly by adding new tools and expanding access to collaboration AI models to its AI video generator.

According to Adobe, the update aims to provide the creators more control, precision, and flexibility so that they can create truly outstanding content.

One of the most exciting additions is the ability to create your own sound effects, but currently in beta. Creators are now able to generate unique sounds with minimal effort, as they just need to type a text prompt or even use their voice.

Here’s what this feature enables:

  • Impact sounds – Add more drama and nature-like sounds to make videos more depth.
  • Atmospheric tracks – Create an immersive background that gives either a mood or location context. Creators are also able to upload their own videos and layer audio.

Adobe is also integrating moe AI models with its most well-known partners. The new lineup includes Moonvalley’s Marey, Google’s Veo 3 with audio, Pika 2.2, Luma AI’s Ray2, and Topaz Labs’ image and video upscaling tools. These are added to the models available already on Google, OpenAI, Luma AI, Ideogram, Black Forest Labs and others it is possible to give more choice to users to create content.

Despite these new integrations, Adobe has clarified that Adobe will not use user data to train generative AI models to maintain its commitment to privacy. An additional benefit is that users may now have access to all such tools via one Adobe sign-in and plan, without the trouble of having to manage multiple subscriptions.

Three new video-editing creative controls are included in this update.

  • Composition Reference allows using a still image or any visual sample to frame and position video.
  • Keyframe Cropping provides an option to change each frame, useful when creating social media or cinematic content.
  • Style Presets enable a unified visual style in multiple projects.

Adobe Firefly starts at $9.99 per month, but depending on the amount of work the creators have, some people might require an upgrade.

With these upgrades, Adobe Firefly is even more potent, and it combines the power of AI-generated sound design, flexible partner models, and accurate creative controls into one easy-to-use platform that content creators.
