WhatsApp is going a step further to allow iOS users to get help directly through the app by offering a new dedicated WhatsApp Support chat. This feature allows the user to get official support, AI-powered responses, and even connect with real humans supporting personnel if required.
This update was first reported in Beta version by WABetaInfo and is being rolled out slowly to all iOS users. With this feature, users can access a verified WhatsApp Support chat with a blue checkmark of Meta Verified and verified ‘About’ info.

To start using the support chat
- Open Settings > Help > Help Center > Contact Us
- It opens the official support chat
- You can send queries, screenshots, or explain your issues
- AI-powered responses will provide quick help
Every AI-generated reply is marked by a Meta AI tag and timestamp. However, WhatsApp notifies a user that not all answers can be completed or are correct.
While the AI support will help you with common queries, it has not yet provided a direct “connect to a human” button. However, such integration makes it simpler to solve the problems without leaving the app.
This feature aligns with trend of Meta toward AI services, as its recent updates include chatbots for business and other tools to help in product recommendations. WhatsApp plans to perfect the support chat experience over time, maybe adding more options of human assistance.
