In Abu Dhabi, students can get an annual permit from AD Mobility for unlimited travel. It covers buses in the capital city, Al Ain and Al Dhafra but excludes intercity. Free rides are thus enjoyed.
How to Apply
- Get a Hafilat Personalised Card, available for students.
- Link the card to your Emirates ID.
- Purchase the student permit from Sales and Recharge Machines at bus stations, malls, and supermarkets.

Dubai: 50% Off Public Transport and Global Student Discounts
If you go to school in Dubai, you can get a student nol card. This card gives you half-off rides on buses, metros, and trams. You will also get a discount on shopping, going on a flight, etc. RTA will work with ISIC to make this discount card accepted worldwide.
How to Apply
- Download the nol Pay app (Google Play Store, App Store) and apply.
- Submit the required documents:
- Enrolment letter or certificate.
- Recent passport-size photo (white background).
- Valid Emirates ID.
Cost: Dh70 (includes Dh50 application fee, Dh20 nol credit) + Dh25 for ISIC registration.
Eligibility: Students aged 6–23 studying in UAE schools or universities.
Ajman: 30% Off Bus Fares with Masaar Card
Students in Ajman can save 30% on bus fares by applying for a student Masaar card.
How to Apply:
- Apply online via Ajman Transport Authority’s website or visit Al Musalla Bus Station.
- Provide proof of enrolment.
Cost: Dh25 (Dh20 credited to the card).
Ras Al Khaimah: 50% Discount on Internal Bus Rides
Students in Ras Al Khaimah can apply for a Silver Card and receive a 50% discount on internal bus fares.
How to Apply
- Visit Al Hamra Bus Station in Al Dhait.
- Submit a valid Emirates ID and student ID.
Cost: Dh20 (Dh10 credited to the card).
