Teenage Girl Assaulted at NADRA Office: Officials Launch Rigorous Investigation

A teenage girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by an employee of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) in Narowal. The victim had visited the office to apply for her computerized national identity card (CNIC).

The victim’s mother, who accompanied her to the NADRA office, reported the incident to the police. She stated that two NADRA employees had asked her daughter to sit with them and then instructed her to return home to collect some necessary documents. Unaware of their malicious intentions, the young girl was reportedly lured to a nearby house where one of the employees committed the heinous act.

Upon receiving the distressing complaint, DPO Rana Tahir Rehman Khan immediately ordered the registration of a case against the accused individuals. In response, the Narowal City police have launched a rigorous search operation to apprehend the alleged culprits. Inspector Khalid Khan, the SHO of Narowal City, confirmed that the police are actively conducting raids to locate and arrest both employees.

In the aftermath of this horrifying incident, Inspector Farah, the Women Police Investigation Officer, confirmed that the initial medical examination of the victim corroborated the allegations of sexual abuse. The authorities have collected samples for further medical and DNA testing to assist in the investigation.

Despite the suspects obtaining protective bail from a local court, valid until the following Monday, law enforcement agencies are determined to ensure justice for the victim and her family. DPO Rana Tahir reassured the public that no effort will be spared in bringing the perpetrators to justice.

This incident has raised serious concerns about the safety of women in public offices and has prompted calls for stricter security measures and stringent action against the culprits.
