In Arabic, Nisa means women. Surah Nisa provides various benefits for women since it contains several rules and instructions about their everyday lives. It is for this reason that it is known as Surah Nisa.

Surah Nisa consists of 24 Rukus and 176 Ayahs. Multiple renowned Islamic scholars highlighted Sura Nisa ki Fazilat. As revealed in Medina, it is a Madni Surah. With his quotes, Hazrat Umar Farooq (May Allah Be Pleased With Him) further highlighted the benefits of Surah Nisa. He advised learning Surah Al-Baqarah, Surah Nisa, Surah Al-Maidah, Surah Al-Hajj, and Surah Al-Noor since these Surahs explain the obligatory knowledge. He (May Allah Be Pleased With Him) also stated that whoever recites Surah Al-Baqarah, Surah Al-Imran, and Surah Nisa would be remembered by Allah as one the knowledgeable.

The main theme of this surah is that it describes the rights of orphans and women, as well as the regulations that govern them, such as taking orphans’ wealth and combining it with one’s own wealth, which is regarded as a grave sin. Punishments are promised to those who wrongly take orphans’ property.

Surah Nisa serves women in a number of different ways since it is so relevant to them. The women’s Meher was instructed to be provided to them in the Surah, along with various other Meher-related concerns. The rules for marrying more than one woman were discussed, as well as how to treat a disobedient woman.

Surah Nisa ki Fazilat is also visible from this point, and The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) recited Surat Al Baqarah, Surah Al Imran, and Surah Nisa in one rak’ah, and he did not reach any verse that spoke of mercy but asked Allah for it, nor any verse that spoke of punishment but asked Allah for protection from it.
