The Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al Rabiah, has outlined the best days and times for performing Umrah. This guidance is expected to offer pilgrims a more peaceful and fulfilling experience at the Grand Mosque in Mecca.
For those looking to undertake their spiritual duties in the morning, Dr. Al Rabiah recommends the time slot between 7:30 am and 10:30 am as ideal. This period is expected to be less crowded, allowing for a more contemplative and serene Umrah experience.
Similarly, the evening hours from 11:00 pm to 2:00 am have been suggested for those who prefer the calm of the night, further reducing the likelihood of overcrowding.
The minister has also pinpointed specific days of the week that are most favorable for performing Umrah. Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday stand out as the least crowded days, providing an environment conducive to a focused and tranquil pilgrimage.
Adding to the comfort of pilgrims, Dr. Al Rabiah highlighted the current pleasant weather in Mecca, which is expected to enhance the physical and spiritual well-being of the visitors. The agreeable climate serves as an added incentive for pilgrims planning their journey.
Pakistan has announced a reduction in government Hajj expenses by Rs. 0.1 million, ensuring that facilities for pilgrims remain uncompromised.
Additionally, a special mobile app has been launched to assist pilgrims with navigation and communication, initially available in English and Urdu, with plans to include more regional languages.
A 20-day short Hajj package has also been introduced, aiming to make the pilgrimage more financially accessible. Efforts are being made to accommodate Pakistani Hujjaj in tents at Old Mina, which is closer than New Mina, addressing logistical challenges.
