According to the Wednesday report, to identify and encourage hardworking and competent students in the province, the Punjab government opened the ‘Punjab Chief Minister International Scholarship Programme’.
The officials behind the program disclosed that an amount of Rs26 billion has been set aside for this program.
This would enable the awarding of scholarships to students seeking to pursue master’s and PhD degrees at the top universities in the world.
The program is expected to officially start in the following financial year, which is when the initial budgetary for this purpose will be allocated for the next fiscal year by Rs. 5 billion.
