Punjab Cancels 9th Class Exams, PHEC Orders Educational Institutions to Remain Closed

On Wednesday, May 10, all educational institutions in Punjab remained closed. The Secretary of Higher Education, Javed Akhtar Mahmood, has also announced the postponement of the upcoming Class Ninth examination.

These precautions were implemented in response to the country’s recent political instability to ensure the security and well-being of students and personnel. New exam dates will be announced in due course.

Students, instructors, and staff’s safety and well-being are of the highest importance, and these steps strive to guarantee that their health and safety are not affected. The education authorities would almost certainly closely monitor the situation and provide information on the rescheduling of exams and the reopening of the institutions as needed.

The British Council has also decided to cancel all exams planned for May 10. Because of the current uncertain situation, this careful approach is being adopted. The Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Hyderabad and Karachi, on the other hand, have chosen to continue with their scheduled exams.
