Despite several assurances, the necessary funds were not released, prompting the insurance company to initiate this action.

According to Dr. Riaz Tanoli, the insurance business was due to issue Rs. 2 billion this month and Rs. 10 billion for the current fiscal year.

Government sources have acknowledged the financial challenges that have resulted in the delay in payments and are actively trying to arrange the payment to avert the termination of health card services.

The KP Government’s Sehat Card Plus KP is a micro-health insurance scheme meant to benefit all residents. This program provides free inpatient healthcare treatments to roughly 7.2 million families in KP.
