HEC Offers Undergraduate Scholarship Opportunities to Gwadar Students

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Islamabad has announced a unique undergraduate scholarship program specifically designed for students from Gwadar. This initiative is part of HEC’s commitment to support the education of deserving individuals from the region.

The scholarship program covers various expenses, including tuition fees, hostel fees, and additional charges. It also provides a monthly stipend of PKR 6,000. The application deadline for this opportunity is October 31, 2023.

To be eligible for the HEC Undergraduate Gwadar Scholarship, candidates must meet several criteria. They must possess a domicile or local certificate proving residence in District Gwadar and have completed 12 years of formal education FA/FSc/ICS/I.COM/DAE or its equivalent before the application deadline.

Students who are already enrolled in a BS program before this advertisement up to one academic year/session may also apply.

Candidates must be enrolled in a public sector university located in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, or Sindh. Those currently benefiting from other scholarships are not eligible to apply. Applicants must be under the age of 22 years as of the application deadline.

The HEC Gwadar Scholarship includes coverage of tuition fees, hostel fees, and other charges, up to a maximum of Rs. 120,000 per year. It also offers a monthly stipend of Rs. 6,000, a book allowance and traveling allowance, each amounting to Rs. 10,000 per annum, and an initial settlement allowance of Rs. 10,000 as a one-time payment.

Selection of candidates will be based on an Aptitude Test conducted by ETC-HEC and academic credentials SSC/HSSC. Applicants must achieve the minimum passing marks in the aptitude test. Any expenses beyond those specified in PC-1 will be the responsibility of the student. HEC retains the right to postpone or cancel the scholarship process at any stage without providing a reason.

To apply for the HEC Undergraduate Scholarship, candidates must submit their application online via the HEC website and deposit a non-refundable aptitude test fee of Rs. 500 in HBL Account Number 17427900133401 Account Title: Higher Education Commission, Branch Code: 1742 at any HBL branch. The original bank payment record/slip must be uploaded along with the online application.
