All public sector colleges, universities, and other educational institutions in Punjab under the administrative jurisdiction of the Higher Education Department will be closed on Thursday and Friday, May 11 and 12.
The province’s Higher Education Department stated in a notice that the decision was made owing to the current security situation in Punjab.
Furthermore, the papers for the Secondary School First Annual Examination 2023 (Part-I), which were scheduled to be held on Thursday and Friday, have been postponed until further orders.
It is worth noting that earlier in the day, the Interior Ministry approved army deployment in Punjab to confront the deteriorating law and order situation.
