Acclaimed Indian actress and singer Alia Bhatt recently shared her hopes for her daughter’s future career path, expressing a desire for her to pursue a career in science rather than following in the family’s footsteps into Bollywood.
Bhatt who has made a name for herself with her exceptional talent and versatility in the Indian film industry, made these remarks during a promotional event in Mumbai for her upcoming film, “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.” The event was also attended by her co-star Ranveer Singh and filmmaker Karan Johar.
The actress, who debuted in the film industry with the 2012 movie “Student of the Year,” has since then delivered numerous stellar performances in various successful films, earning her widespread acclaim and a massive fan following. However, when it comes to her daughter, she envisions a different path.
Speaking to her fans at the event, Bhatt said, “When I look at my daughter, I think she’ll become a scientist.” This statement indicates that Bhatt, despite her and her father’s successful careers in Bollywood, does not necessarily want her daughter to follow in their footsteps.
Bhatt and her husband, fellow actor Ranbir Kapoor, welcomed their daughter in November 2022, after tying the knot in April of the same year. As the couple navigates parenthood, it seems they are open to their daughter exploring fields outside of the entertainment industry.
