Windows 11 is testing a handy new feature that can save users a lot of time with clipboard syncing between Android devices and PCs.
The tool allows you to copy something on your Windows 11 computer and immediately read it on your Android device. It can be a link, an image, or a piece of text, this feature allows it to move between devices more smoothly.
According to TechRadar, the feature works with the help of the Microsoft Link to Windows app, which needs to be installed on your phone. Users must also enable the feature in Windows 11 settings. Clipboard content will automatically be synchronized as long as both devices are signed in using the same Microsoft account.
Windows Latest spotted the feature in a preview build and described the syncing as “instantaneous.” It also reportedly works with multiple keyboard apps, as long as the user allows access in phone settings.
Currently, clipboard sharing is limited to Windows 11 test builds. However, Microsoft is expected to roll it out more broadly if testing goes well.
This positive update comes as Windows 11 has faced other headlines recently. Microsoft was forced to deny rumors that a new security patch was destroying SSDs after rumors went viral online. The company assured the users that the update was not leading to storage problems.
If it reaches the stable release with clipboard syncing, then it might become one of the most useful Windows 11 features ever, especially for users juggling work between PC and phone.
