Triumph in Riyadh: Pakistan Wins TEKKEN 7 Nations Cup

In a thrilling display of gaming prowess, Pakistan emerged victorious in the Gamers8 TEKKEN 7 Nations Cup held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Pakistani team, consisting of Arslan Siddique, Imran Khan, and Atif Butt, outplayed South Korea in a nail-biting finale, securing a 3-2 victory.

The tournament, organized by the Saudi Esports Federation, saw participation from 16 national teams from across the globe. The Pakistani team’s journey to the top was marked by impressive gameplay and strategic maneuvers. In the semi-finals, they overcame the UK team with a 2-1 scoreline, paving their way to the final showdown.

Despite a mid-game setback when Arslan Siddique suffered defeat, Atif Butt rose to the occasion, clinching the decisive boss match and ensuring victory for Pakistan. This win not only brought glory to the team but also earned them a substantial prize of $500,000.

This triumph is not an isolated incident in Pakistan’s gaming history. Earlier this year, Atif Butt, a member of the victorious team, had secured the “King of the Iron Fist” title at the Tekken World Tour 2022 videogame tournament in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He defeated South Korean player Sang-hyun “Jeondding” Jeon in the final match, bagging a cash prize of $50,000 along with the prestigious title.

These victories underscore Pakistan’s growing prominence in the global gaming arena. The nation’s gamers are proving their mettle on international platforms, bringing home titles and setting new benchmarks in the world of esports.
